These terms govern your use of this website and the supply of made-to-measure curtains, sheers, blinds and related products and services by Shayd Curtains and Blinds Trading L.L.C. (“Shayd”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a limited liability company licensed by Dubai Economy and Tourism. We serve Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman. By approving a quotation or placing an order with us you accept these terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy and Warranty Policy, which form part of your agreement with us.
Quotations and orders
Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise and are based on measurements taken by our team. Website prices and ranges are indicative only. An order is confirmed when you approve the quotation and pay the stated deposit; production of made-to-measure goods begins after confirmation.
Measurements and appointments
Where we take final measurements, we are responsible for their accuracy. Where you insist on supplying your own final measurements, responsibility for fit rests with you and we will confirm this in writing before production. Appointment requests made through the website are not confirmed until our team contacts you to agree availability.
Delivery and installation
Lead times stated on quotations are made in good faith; delays caused by fabric suppliers, building access restrictions or events outside our control extend timelines correspondingly, and we will keep you informed. You are responsible for arranging any building permits or access approvals unless we agree in writing to obtain them for you.
Payment
A deposit is payable to confirm your order, as stated on your quotation. The balance of the price is due on completion of installation and your inspection of the goods, and is payable by the methods stated on your quotation or invoice. Title to the goods does not pass to you, and the goods remain the property of Shayd Curtains and Blinds Trading L.L.C., until we have received payment in full of all sums due for the relevant order. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or installation, whichever happens first.
If any amount is not paid by its due date, we may, after giving you notice and a reasonable opportunity to pay, suspend further work, deliveries or installation on your order and recover any late-payment charge permitted under applicable UAE law. Exercising these rights does not affect any other remedy available to us under your agreement or the law.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UAE law. Otherwise, our liability for any claim is limited to the value of the affected order. We are not liable for pre-existing defects in walls, ceilings or wiring, though we will flag any we discover before working on them.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under UAE Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection. Our Refund and Cancellation Policy and our Warranty Policy form part of these terms and explain how we handle cancellations, faults and warranty claims.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, their subject matter, formation or your order, including non-contractual disputes, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. The courts of Dubai have jurisdiction to settle any such dispute. Nothing in this section limits any mandatory rights you may have as a consumer under UAE Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection, or your right to refer a matter to the competent authorities. We will always try to resolve any concern with you directly and fairly first.
Website use and intellectual property
The content of this website, including text, images and designs, belongs to Shayd or its licensors and is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. Please do not copy, republish or reuse it for other purposes without our permission. You agree not to misuse the website or to attempt to disrupt its normal operation.
General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. If we do not enforce a term on one occasion, we do not give up the right to enforce it later. We may update these terms from time to time, and the version published on this page at the time of your order applies to that order. Where these terms are provided in both English and Arabic, the two versions are intended to have the same meaning; if a genuine conflict arises, the version more favourable to you as a consumer applies, and before the UAE courts the Arabic version applies.
